At our website: "webshop"
You will be placed on the waiting list unless there is a free place available. As soon as there is a place available, you will be contacted and invited to begin swimming lessons.
When you come for the first time you have to purchase a swimming lessons card. Swimming lessons cards are only valid for a certain period. If this period is exceeded then your remaining swimming lessons expire. Swimming lessons cards are personal and not transferable.
If there are swimming lessons left over on your card, it is possible to either spend this time on additional swimming lessons and/or recreational swimming in the pool (within the validity period). Refunds are not given.
Single swimming lessons
It is possible to purchase single individual swimming lessons, although these are more expensive then normal.
- If your child ability is almost sufficient for a diploma you can purchase individual swimming lessons in conjunction with your swimming lessons card.
Level Groups and Jip
We offer different levels of swimming lessons at the Sportfondsenbad Delft. As and when a child is ready he/she will progress to the next level. This is dependent on the individual ability of your child rather than the group. Each level is characterized by different colours: red, green, blue, yellow and orange.
Diploma swimming
An overview of the swimming diplomas can be found in the hall of the swimming pool and on our website. New diploma classes start every 6 weeks at Sportfondsenbad Delft.
Frequently asked questions:
- How long is the waiting list?
- At reception you will find a publication of the current waiting list.As soon as your child is on the waiting list, he/she will have free access to family swimming times on Sunday. You can use this time to let your child get used to the swimming pool and also to start or continue with water habituation and all other skills. Advice (what should I do?) regarding this can be sort from the swimming teacher on duty.

- How long does it take to learn to swim?
- Every child develops at a different speed. It is not possible to determine how long it will take for children to learn Swim ABC.The average duration to obtain the A-diploma is 50 hours, for B- diplomas is 10-15 hours and for C-diploma is 12-15 hours. To learn how to swim is an intensive activity. It is important that you make the time available for your children to get the hang of it.Gaps in the schedule will cause your children to re-lapse, and it is advised to seek to graduate the various levels without interruptions.

- Children play (sometimes) during class, why?
Play, led by the teacher, during lessons has a purpose. So it is not playing for play’s sake. These
are exercises to learn and improve skills. The approach is so good, the children experience learning
as they play, without knowing it, and as they are practicing their skills for a swimming diploma.
